Page:Line Start/Page:Line End
The Page:Line Start and End text boxes determine the range of text that can be displayed from the selected clip start and stop settings.
Depending on the accuracy of the time codes, it’s possible for a line of text to be displayed prior to the selected range or after the selected range. This is because a clip can be "tweaked" to a point prior to the actual time stamp.
By setting the Page:Line Start and End range, you ensure that only the text you wish to display is ever shown on screen.
Be sure these settings are correct, or you may not get an accurate text playback from the selected clip.
Look at the following example:
Suppose you create a clip from page 12 line 4 to page 13 line 8 using the page.line feature.
The Page:Line start text box will automatically be filled with 12:4 and then end with 13:8.
If you were to tweak the clip PRIOR to page 12, line 4 so that line 3 is part of the clip, line 3 will never be displayed (because the Page:Line Start is set to line 4).
If you change a clip range or tweak the playback outside of the original clip settings, be sure you adjust Page:Line start and end to incorporate your changes.
