Using Synchronized Transcripts
If the current media group has a companion transcript file with valid timestamp information, you will need to associate the transcript with the loaded group of media files.
Note - for information on creating Synchronized Transcripts using the Transcript Manager Utility, see the Time Stamping and Transcript Manager PDF file. You may also find information in the Transcript Manager Help file topic – Time stamping a Transcript .
To associate a media group with a timestamped transcript from the main screen:
From the main screen, right click on the appropriate Media group and select Associate To from the popup menu.
Select the transcript text file that corresponds to the current media files
To create a new clip (with synchronized transcript):
Type the page+line (begin/end) point in format page.line+page.line (ex. 245.12+246.13= Page 245 line 12 to 246 line 13 ).
2. Hit the Enter key. If the page line information contains accurate timestamps, the start and end points will be added automatically. To play the clip range, click on the
button.
Type in a name for the clip and optional description (by default the page and line is automatically entered in this description text box).
![]()
Click on the
button.
If you receive a message - "The start/end point for this clip does not have time stamp information", this means that the line number you have typed does not have a timestamp entry. Use the next line number up or down and try again. You may then edit the segment to account for the missing timestamp.
