Sanction II trial presentation program allows for organization of trial materials, including images, video, audio and transcripts or exhibition in a full presentation environment.
Using iCONECT, your team is able to search through millions of documents and tag images related to your case. With the click of a button, these images can be imported and assembled for use in a professional multimedia trial presentation.
The Sanction II export in iCONECT allows you to send both the TIFF images and coding data from any or all documents in your iCONECT database over the internet to your local copy of Sanction II. Once imported, the images will appear in Sanction under "Documents" in Tree View and any image data will appear in the 15 static coding fields, allowing you to easily work with both the images and data in your trial presentations.
This integration requires Sanction II. You will need to have a copy of Sanction II installed on your workstation or laptop.

3. Click on the blue iCONECT "Export" tab on the left side of the screen, under "Toolbar" and "Reports". On this blue tab, click the "Export to Another Program" button. |
4. An Export screen will pop up, providing you with a list of programs that data can be exported to. Choose Sanction II from the "Trial Presentation" category. Click "Next". If Sanction II is not listed on this screen, please contact your iCONECT administrator to have it added.
5. The next screen will ask you to choose the documents you wish to export. You can export just the current document, all documents resulting from the current search, the entire database or a range of documents. You can also select all the documents that have been placed in a specific folder. Once you have made your selection, click "Next".
6. You will next be asked to choose how your coded data will appear in Sanction II. The selection screen lets you "map" which fields of document data should appear in which coding fields of the "Coding" tab in Sanction II. You can map up to 15 fields of data to the 15 default fields of this tab. The select boxes beside each Sanction II field contain all the fields in your current iCONECT database. You do not have to choose the image field to select the document images. The images are always automatically exported along with this data. If you do not wish to add data to a given Sanction II field, leave the select box as (none). Click "next" when you are ready to continue.
7. If your administrator has requested "export tracking", you will be asked to enter a short comment explaining why you are downloading these files to Sanction II. The tracking screen will also record your username, time of export and other information. This screen may not appear. If it does not, skip this step.
8. iCONECT will generate a Sanction II "SCL" import file based on the criteria you have specified in the previous screens. Once your file has been generated, you will be presented with a blue hyperlink. iCONECT will also determine the approximate download time based on your connection. Click on the hyperlink to download your Sanction II file. When asked by Windows to "Open" or "Save" the file, select "Open".
If you choose "Save", you can still download the information, but you will have to manually add the SCL file to Sanction II. See your Sanction II documentation for instructions on how to do this.
9. If Sanction II is not already running on your computer, it will automatically launch and ask if you wish to import the images and data into the current case, a different case, or a new case. Select one of the options.
10. Your export is complete! The images will be automatically added under "Documents" in Tree View and any coded image data will appear in the 15 static coding fields in the fields you selected. You can now begin working with this information in Sanction II.
11. When you return to iCONECT, you can close the Export window and continue working.
