Adding Exhibit # Stamps

You may wish to use Sanction II’s Printing features to automatically add an Exhibit # stamp to selected images adding the Exhibit or Trial Exhibit # directly into the stamp image!

When you use this feature, images are not actually printed. Instead, each image file is located, and the appropriate stamp and # are added as an annotation to the image file. These image annotations can be positioned in the same manner as the Barcode and ID options.

The exhibit number is added based on the entry in the Exhibit or Trial Exhibit # field in the loaded database. If no entry is in the field, the Exhibit stamp will be added without a number.

Image stamps use the PengadÓ images located in the ImageTools subdirectory.

Burning in Stamps

Exhibit Stamps are added to images as annotations. For this reason, you can delete stamps simply by selecting them and hitting the Delete key from the main screen. Exhibit stamps are not deleted when using the CTRL-Delete key combination.

If you wish Exhibit stamps to be permanently added to an image, select the Burn in Sticker option.

Important – This option will only work if the selected images are NOT Group IV tif files. If you wish to burn in Exhibit stamps for Group IV tiffs, first add the exhibit numbers and then choose the Burn in option from the Print Image tab. Be aware that stickers are added as Layer 1 annotations. If you choose to burn in the annotations, ALL layer 1 annotations will be burned in.

Warning – it is strongly recommended that you avoid burning in annotations unless you have back up files of ALL of your images. Once a stamp has been burned in, it cannot be removed from the image file.
