List View Window

The List View window provides a list of items in the currently selected case, category or group. Clicking on items brings you one branch deeper in the tree or displays the active item in the Viewing Window to the right. When displaying group items, the List View column headers show additional item information such as descriptions and exhibit numbering.

When you click on a group item in the List View, if the file is not located, a "File not found" message will be displayed in the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen. This means that the path to the item is currently unavailable. This is typically due to the required CD not being in the CDROM drive or an unavailable network connection path.

Right clicking on an item in the List View brings up the right click menu options which provide instant access to many of Sanction II's menu and toolbar features.

Note the following Tree View/List View relationships:

Clicking on the or Tree View icons, the List View will display the five Category Folders Documents, Images, Videos, Transcripts, and Other Exhibits.

Clicking on a Category icon - the List View will display the Groups belonging to the selected Category.

Clicking on a Group - the List View will display the items (pages) of the selected group.

Items in the List View window can be dragged and dropped onto the Temp Items folder, the Presentation Items folder or any User Created Folder to create a shortcut back to the original item.
