If you are having difficulty inserting a media clip into a slide, or are receiving an error message – "Unable to create …", there are generally two things to do.
If you are receiving an error message and no control is added to the slide, delete the slide, exit PowerPoint and then re-launch it. When the correct slide is loaded or added, click on the Sanction II menu to re-insert the clip.
If your slide displays the control, however you are unable to access the control properties, select the control and delete it and then exit PowerPoint. Next, from Windows Explorer, search for a file named VSAXMedia.exd. If the file is located, delete it and then re-launch PowerPoint. When the correct slide is loaded or added, click on the Sanction II menu to re-insert the clip.
