The Sanction II Transcripts folder is designed to organize and display page and line numbered ASCII text files.

 

Sanction supports numerous ASCII transcript formats, including LiveNote PTF and VID files, Timaro PTS (Post-Production Timestamp) as well as Sanction 1.7 transcript databases.

 

To add a transcript:

 

1.    Select Transcripts from the Imports menu.

2.    Select the type of transcript you wish to import from the Files of Type drop down combo box.

3.    Browse to the transcript location.

4.    Click OK to import the transcript.

 

Important – when adding LiveNote or Timaro transcripts which have valid timestamps you must have the media files available if they have not already been added to the case. The import will prompt you for the location of each media file before fully importing the transcript.

 

If you add a synchronized transcript without the appropriate media files, you may have to re-associate the Media Groups to the files and use the Transcript Manager to adjust the synchronization start points.

 

You may also add transcripts by dragging and dropping them onto the Transcripts category.
