Selective Loading is a means of limiting the number of Document items actually loaded when you open a case.
If your case database contains thousands of documents, load times, as well as general navigation can slow down considerably. Selective loading lets you create a range of only the groups you would like to view at the current moment. You can save any number of Selective Load lists for reopening at a later time.
To create a Selective Load List:
1. From the Special Functions menu, click on Selective Load.
2. Enable Selective loading by selecting the Use Selective Load check box.
3. Type in the name of the group you wish to add to the Selective Load list and hit the
button to add the group. You may also click on the
button to load a complete list (note – this can take awhile with large cases).

To add groups from the list, select the groups you wish to use, right click and choose Add from the popup menu.
4. When you are finished adding groups, click on the
button and give the selective load list a name.
5. Exit the Selective Load dialog.
To stop using Selective loading, click on Settings from the Tools menu and uncheck the Use Selective Load option from the General Settings tab.
To change selective loads:
1. From the Special Functions menu, click on Selective Load.
2. From the Saved Selections drop down list, select the selective load file you wish to use.
3. Exit the Selective Load dialog.
When selective loading is enabled, the following message appears at the top of the Tree view on the main screen:
